<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La génesis de la responsabilidad medioambiental tuvo lugar en Estados Unidos y desde allí se extendió a Europa. Hoy podemos decir que es una cuestión mundial y numerosos países, ya sea de Asia, Latinoamérica o incluso África, están creando su propia normativa para la prevención y reparación de los daños al medio ambiente. En la segunda parte de este artículo se realiza un recorrido por algunos de los países, pertenecientes a las economías emergentes, que han desarrollado recientemente una legislación para afrontar las responsabilidades ambientales; y en los que, con certeza, la experiencia europea, en general, y la ibérica, en particular, pueden tener un importante papel en el diseño de soluciones</abstract>
