<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Bancassurance has become a major distribution channel in a number of South Asian markets where there is still a large uninsured population. As consumers' needs and expectations change, this channel has cometo the rescue of insurers who can now reach out toa larger base across the country where they do not have a physical presence. We speak to sorne key players in a few of these markets to find out the current scenario and the future of this distribution channel in their respective countries. </abstract>
