<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La Ley General de Seguros del Ecuador establece en su artículo 42 la obligación de las compañías de seguros y reaseguros de pagar el seguro contratado o la parte correspondiente a la pérdida debidamente comprobada, según el caso, dentro del plazo de treinta días siguientes de presentada la reclamación por parte del asegurado o beneficiario, acompañando los documentos determinados en la póliza.</abstract>
