<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El documento analiza la iniciativa europea Savings and Investment Union (SIU) como respuesta al reto de canalizar de forma más eficiente el elevado ahorro existente en la Unión Europea hacia la inversión productiva. Examina las principales medidas regulatorias impulsadas por la Comisión Europea, con especial atención a la Retail Investment Strategy, la creación de una etiqueta europea de productos de ahorro e inversión y el desarrollo de cuentas europeas de ahorro e inversión. El trabajo evalúa el papel del inversor minorista como elemento clave para la integración de los mercados de capitales. Asimismo, aborda los riesgos y desafíos asociados a la implementación de estas iniciativas y su impacto potencial sobre la competitividad de la economía europea</abstract>
