<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The use of zinc dialkyldithiophosphates, which are non-volatile additives used in many industrial oils, is suggested as a tracer in a sampling and analytical procedure for oil aerosols. The method, based on filter sampling and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) analysis of the zinc content of the samples, was evaluated by sampling generated oil mist in parallel with glass-wool sampling and infra-red (IR) spectroscopic analysis</abstract>
