<subfield code="a">The authors are currently investigating the effects of passive cigarrette smoke exposure on self-described smoke sensitive asthmatics along with suitable control populations. For this purpose, a dynamic flow test chamber was constructed that allows the attainment and control of exposure doses at differing levels for both sidestream and mixed mainstream/sidestream smoke. The results of the characterization of the chamber test atmospheres for certain respiratory irritants and for some commonly used markers of ETS are presented</subfield>
