Sumario: Viewed by a conventional watch, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is moving toward revision of the permissible exposure limits standard at an excruciatingly slow pace. Then again, if you consider the challenge of balancing policy, labor and industry interests dialogue on the update has progressed about as well as you might expect. The good news: there's polite optimism in all three camps that yes, the PEL standard will eventually be updated. The bad news: most of the major issues have yet to be resolved
