In most cases, it involves evaluating a cross-section of workers to identify early signs of occupational diseases or injuries. Surveillance goes a stpe beyond screening. Its goal is to assess the health of people who may already have been exposed to occupational hazards. A good surveillance program will analyze both individuals and groups of workers
