<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El mercado asegurador brasileño ha cerrado el ejercicio 1998 con un volumen total de primas estimado en 20.000 millones de dólares, según ha adelantado el Director de la Superintendencia de Seguros Privados en Brasil (SUSEP), Neival Rodrigues Freitas. Esta cifra supone un incremento del 9% respecto a la del año anterior ( en 1997 se facturaron 18.394 millones de dólares). Los últimos datos oficiales conocidos señalan que de enero a octubre de 1998, el sector había alcanzado 16.079 millones de dólares</abstract>
