<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En el artículo se analiza la eficiencia del sistema bancario español en el contexto de la Unión Europea, identificando cuatro grupos de especialización en la banca europea, con los cuales se realiza un análisis cluster. Se observa como en los grupos de especialización más importante se sitúan en niveles de eficiencia de la media de la UE. En cuanto a la eficiencia en beneficios, el SBE es más eficaz en la banca de intermediación.</abstract>
