La Gestión de Activos y Pasivos puede definirse como el proceso continuo de formular, poner en práctica, supervisar y revisar las estrategias relacionadas con los activos y pasivos, con el fin de alcanzar los objetivos financieros fijados para un conjunto dado de tolerancias y restricciones de riesgo. En España la Gestión de Activos y Pasivos ha sido desarrollada por la Orden Ministerial de 23 de diciembre de 1998</abstract>
