<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Se presenta una caracterización del entorno institucional en el que se desarrolla la actividad empresarial española comparado con el que se da en los 34 países de la OCDE. Con este fin se explotan tres diferentes fuentes internacionales. Utilizando técnicas de análisis multivariante se derivan una serie de indicadores para el conjunto de los 34 países. Se obtiene de una forma bastante robusta que España se encuentra atrasada en los factores analizados respecto a la mayoría de los países de la OCDE. Se termina estableciendo una relación entre los indicadores estimados y el PIB por hora de los países considerados. </abstract>
