The study shows that advances in information technology, such as artificial intelligence and deep learning, reduce the need for hierarchical layers, lower overhead costs, and enable insurers to increase size and scope. Theoretical models and examples illustrate how technology-driven efficiency can lead to flatter organizational structures and enhanced profitability.</dc:description>
