<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El seguro de vida a escala mundial excede en mucho la simple cobertura de riesgo que tradicionalmente se ha comercializado en Colombia, en virtud de la cual si la persona fallece, durante la vigencia del contrato, sus beneficiarios reciben una indemnización, y si el asegurado sobrevive no recibe contraprestación alguna, sino, por el contrario, las condiciones de asegurabilidad se tornan más onerosas con el transcurso del tiempo. Estos tipos de seguro se conocen tradicionalmente como «temporales»</abstract>
