<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The purpose of this publication is to explore the fundamental principles of insurance law, relating to a wide variety of jurisdictions, with the intention that the latest developments in this area of the law will be clarified and anlarged on. The focus of this survey, as compiled by practitioners in the subject jurisdictions, is not on a particular area of the relevant law or on a single legal regime. Instead, the internationalisation of the insurance market and the effects of changing regulations are examined in numerous jurisdicitons and from many perspectives. The particular implications for all parties involved in domestic and crossborder insurance markets are probed and significant trends are identified through legal analysis</abstract>
