<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En este estudio se analizan los desastres medioambientales en España  entre 1950 y 2008 para determinar su incidencia, caracterizar cuantitativa y cualitativamente su perfil y estimar el impacto sobre la salud pública en términos de población afectada, mortalidad y morbilidad. Del estudio se desprende que España presenta un perfil de riesgo medioambiental mixto, con especial relevancia de fenómenos naturales y de origen tecnológico, lo que hace que las estrategias de prevención deban ser dobles </abstract>
