<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La implantación, en 1988, del Convenio de Indemnización Directa, más conocido como CIDE y su posterior acuerdo suplementario, ASCIDE, del año 1990, permitió promover la rápida indemnización de los asegurados no responsables. De esta forma, se logró una mejora en la calidad del servicio prestado y en la imagen del sector asegurador. Esto, unido a la creación del Centro Informático de Compensación de Siniestros (CICOS) mejoró la comunicación entre entidades, quedando el sistema de siniestros de daños materiales (SDM) para aquellos casos fuera de convenio </abstract>
