<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: When IUMI announced the theme for this year's conference, the dominant issue looked to be the ongoing economic crisis and how it would impact on the global marine market and with it the marine insurance market. It came as the marine underwriters were assessing the loss of the Costa Concordia which is shaping up to be the biggest hull loss in history off the back of a year which delivered the global industry's second biggest loss year in history. However the marine market is still enmeshed in overcapacity and as such there are no signs of a hardening in rates as competition continues for the available business.
