<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El terremoto de Lorca ha supuesto un antes y un después en lo que a prevención en riesgos naturales se refiere en nuestro país. Aquel fatídico 11 de mayo de 2011 fue un importante punto de inflexión en la conciencia real de peligro. Los terremotos ya no eran un castigo divino  que afectaba a países remotos como Japón, Haití, Estados Unidos o Chile. El ciudadano de a pie se dio cuenta de que le puede afectar a él, que está mucho más cerca de lo que parece. Esas imágenes de edificios derruidos, pánico en la población y devastación, que hasta ese momento veíamos por televisión, empezaron a ser peligrosamente familiares</abstract>
