<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En la Ingeniería de Protección contra Incendios y, por tanto, en el diseño de cualquier edificio, garantizar la seguridad de los ocupantes es un objetivo primordial. Una de las principales tareas a tener en cuenta será la evacuación de los ocupantes de los edificios, siendo de especial interés los edificios de gran aforo, en los que la gran densidad de personas puede dar lugar a taponamientos, avalanchas e incluso asfixias. Todo ello se produce tanto por las características del edificio, como por la reacción de los ocupantes ante situaciones anómalas o de peligro </abstract>
