<abstract displayLabel="Summary">"Cuando las sirenas no eran las nuestras" es un libro que trata sobre la Guerra Civil, pero sobre todo, es la historia del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Madrid. Historias de la vida real en las que he tratado de reflejar el miedo, la valentía y la represión, primero republicana y después franquista, por las que atravesaron compañeros nuestros. Todo ello, teniendo como escenario el asedio de la aviación sublevada al que fue sometida la capital en los meses de noviembre y diciembre de 1936, sin duda, el primer bombardeo de la historia realizado sobre una gran ciudad. </abstract>
