<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Con esta herramienta pretendemos analizar la evolución de la serie temporal de una variable, en nuestro caso, las ventas de la empresas, aunque puede aplicarse a otras variables de la cuenta de resultados o del balance, con el objetivo de eliminar las fluctuaciones o variaciones estacionales que pudieran afectarla, y que sirva de base para la toma de decisiones basada en las predicciones acerca de su comportamiento en un futuro, suponiendo que no van a producirse cambios estructurales importantes.</abstract>
