<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Floating offshore wind is an emerging, costly technology with the potential to unlock vast deep-water wind resources. Following initial pilot projects, the industry is moving toward commercial-scale deployments to help countries meet their energy transition targets. Spain is among these countries, with its first floating offshore wind tender expected soon. This thesis provides a global overview of the floating offshore wind industry and its (re)insurance landscape, and examines the specific challenges, opportunities, and expectations for (re)insurers considering the underwriting of these projects in Spain</abstract>
