<abstract displayLabel="Summary">The document points out that insurability no longer depends solely on the resilience of an asset, but also on the resilience of the environment in which it is located. Critical infrastructure, drainage systems, public services and transport networks can amplify losses when a single event simultaneously affects numerous assets. Insured losses from natural disasters have exceeded $100 billion annually since 2020 and could reach $148 billion by 2026. They set out four priorities to boost this resilience: improving data and territorial risk assessment, developing funding mechanisms, establishing metrics to assess resilience, and integrating the benefits that these investments generate for different stakeholders</abstract>
