<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En el contexto mundial, el sector asegurador español ocupa una posición discreta en relación a aquellos otros países como Estados Unidos, Gran Bretaña, Suiza, Japón, etc., donde la industria aseguradora tiene mayor importancia en la economía nacional. No obstante, el auge que viene manteniendo en los últimos tiempos conduce a un desarrollo potencial muy superior en los próximos años. De igual forma, la industria reaseguradora española acomete una expansión que habrá de superar lenta y progresivamente el escaso nivel de desarrollo actual.</abstract>
