<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Se muestran las preocupaciones de los ocupantes de edificios antiguos sobre la calidad del aire y su consecuente peligro para la salud por la exposición al asbesto (amianto), o a la bacteria legionela neumófila, generadas a través de los sistemas de iluminación, ventilación y filtración del aire. Este artículo trata de informar sobre el asbesto, valores límites de exposición y su patología, así como sobre la bacteria que provoca la llamada "enfermedad del legionario" y sus consecuencias y, por último, aporta los medios para conseguir una mejora en la calidad del aire, de acuerdo con una normativa existente</abstract>
