<abstract displayLabel="Summary">It is abundantly clear that the United States regards arson as its resources have been, are being, and will be devoted to its control both by government and the private sector. One possible criticism of the current situation in the US is that the various anti-arson programmes are controlled and operated by many different organizations. This dispersal of responsabilities may have the effect of lessening the local impact made on arson. However, in a country the size of th US where there are over 30.000 separate fire departments, such divisions are probably inevitable</abstract>
