One possible criticism of the current situation in the US is that the various anti-arson programmes are controlled and operated by many different organizations. This dispersal of responsabilities may have the effect of lessening the local impact made on arson. However, in a country the size of th US where there are over 30.000 separate fire departments, such divisions are probably inevitable</abstract>
