Sumario: Exposure to waste anaesthetic gases in the operating and recovery rooms of hospitals is an ongoing concern beacuse a number of epidemiological and mortality studies have reported significant adverse effects. This study was conducted to evaluate the exposure of workers to waste anaesthetic gases in the operating rooms and recovery rooms in Ontario hospitals to determine if engineering controls and work practices need improvement to achieve acceptable exposure levels
