Sumario: The World Health Organization does not maintain skin-cancer statistic from around the globe, but fairskinned people are the most susceptible. When it comes to the actual mechanics of skin-cancer prevention, there's nothing new under the sun. Primary prevention - stopping the disease before it starts - remains a matter of protecting skin from the sun's ultraviolet rays with clothing and sunscreen lotions. Secondary prevention - identifying the disease and keeping it from progressing - continues to require regular monitoring of moles and other skin irregularities. These are the basics of any skin-cancer education program
