<abstract>El crecimiento y evolución de las aplicaciones informáticas en los últimos años ha puesto sobre la mesa la inminente necesidad de adaptación e integración a los nuevos conceptos de seguridad. Lo cierto es que es preciso adaptarse a esa nueva sociedad informacional a la que ya nos han sumergido los ordenadores, las telecomunicaciones en general e internet en particular. El artículo explica todos estos temas y algunos mecanismos de seguridad desarrollados para la protección de datos en la sociedad de la información</abstract>
