<abstract>En este artículo se pretende orientar a los departamentos de prevención de las empresas y a los técnicos en prevención sobre la distinción entre sistemas anticaídas y sistemas de sujeción, indicando la necesidad de establecer un lenguaje  técnico común, coherente con las normas UNE-EN que regulan los EPI contra caídas de altura. Junto con esta información, recalcaremos el hecho de que está debe acompañarse de su sistema didáctico y formativo con una práctica real sobre los usos y limitaciones de los EPI </abstract>
