<abstract>The design of vehicle seats requires consideration of seat comfort, such as the postural support provided to the body, contact pressures with the body  and the thermal and humidity properties of the seat. In dynamic conditions, when a vehicle is driven over a rough surface or there is vibration from an engine, the influence of the vibration transmitted through the seat is considered to be an important factor in seat design. Several methods of predicting discomfort caused by whole-body vibration have been proposed</abstract>
