<abstract>Las fusiones y adquisiciones y la cooperación entre los sectores financieros, principalmente entre la banca comercial y de inversión y los seguros, son la tendencia del futuro. El aprovechamiento de las sinergias derivadas de la creación de conglomerados financieros producirá entidades eficientes y baratas en el mercado financiero. Para entender los obstáculos situados en nuestro camino hacia la plena integración, debemos empezar por contemplar la situación vigente de los mercados financieros en cada país.</abstract>
