<abstract>While not yet out of the woods, the property-casualty insurance market seems to be on the road recovery. Two years of strong medicine in the form of price inscreases has saved the body of the market, althought individual members have been lost in the process. Weakness and bleeding remain, which will make the recovery uneven among remaining insurers. A full resurgence to former health without a loss of additional carriers remains uncertain</abstract>
