<abstract>A partir de los sucesos del 11 de Septiembre en Estados Unidos, los diferentes Estados representados en la OACI (Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional) decidieron establecer una serie de medidas para que los países que ratificaron los diversos convenios y protocolos en los últimos 30 años, desde el primer convenio de Chicago de 1944, tuvieran una pauta a seguir a la hora de dictar normas encaminadas a proteger el transporte aereo, garantizando la segura continuidad de este medio. Desde esa fecha, los cambios en la legislación sobre seguridad aerea han sido constantes, y han ido adaptandose a las necesidades que implicaban estas amenazas</abstract>
