The MAPFRE Foundation Documentation and Knowledge Center is a specialized space for the study of the insurance sector, risk management, and social welfare. With more than 30 years of experience, it acts as a support center for research, teaching, and dissemination.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

We offer you more than 170,000 bibliographic references, 70% in digital format. All resources are available for free and open access through our catalog.

PERSONALIZED ATTENTION

Our team performs personalized searches for bibliographic and reference information to satisfy your information and documentation needs. Furthermore, we guide you on the access, organization, and functioning of our documentary collection.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

We offer the possibility to request physical books available in our library on loan. The interlibrary loan is exclusively for libraries of other institutions and in no case are loans made to individuals. For this, you must go to your reference library and request the book. The library contacts us for the shipment of the requested book via certified mail.

IN-ROOM CONSULTATION

Access all our documentary collection from the web. If you wish to consult the library's collection in person, you can request a prior appointment to access our facilities.

SELECTIVE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION

We produce a monthly newsletter of new acquisitions for our users. Subscribe you can also subscribe to the bibliographic novelties.

All services and the functioning of the Center are detailed in our Service Charter.

    Summer (June 15 - September 15): Monday to Friday 09:00-15:00

    Closed on Christmas (December 24 - January 6), Easter, and August.

Search help

In the Center's catalog, you can search for books, articles, journals, reports, and other resources. Access is free and open to all users.

  1. 1. How to use the search engine:

    Our search engine offers two options:

    • Search by fields: Allows you to search by author, title, subject, year, document type, etc. Ideal for precise searches.

    • Custom search: Enter keywords or phrases to find documents containing those terms in any field.

  2. 2. Step-by-step guide

    • Search by fields:

      - Enter a keyword (e.g., pet insurance) in the main box.

      - Click "Search."

      - Browse the results and use the filters on the left to refine your search.

    • Custom search:

      - In the "general search" field, you can enter a word or text (in quotation marks) to search all documents in the Catalog.

      - In the "select one or more sections" field, you can choose one or more of the subcollections that make up the Catalog.

      - The "operator" field is for performing a Boolean search.

      - In the "category" field, you can select any field from the general search.

      - The "value" field will be activated based on the field you selected in the "category" field.
