<abstract displayLabel="Summary">MAPFRE celebró durante los días 8 y 9 de octubre de 2008, en el Auditorio MAPFRE, las Jornadas Internacionales sobre Catástrofes Naturales bajo el título "Medidas para la aminoración de los daños y capacidad de recuperación de la sociedad", como uno de los actos organizados para conmemorar su 75ª aniversario. El objetivo de las mismas fue difundir el conocimiento sobre los efectos de los fenómenos naturales y promover el debate sobre las formas en que se pueden disminuir los daños que éstos causan.
